The beginning of PBS' Complete Jane Austen is now right around the corner (this Sunday). You may have already seen the Complete Jane Austen advertisements scattered across the web. So with the countdown on, which of the new adaptations are you most excited about seeing?
Personally I'm very excited about Mansfield Park, since I wasn't completely satisfied with the other 1999 version (I believe it was). I'm also curious about the Sense and Sensibility adaptation just because the Ang Lee/Emma Thompson version was so stellar.

1I can't wait to see Persuasion!
2I can't wait to see Persuasion, and I am also curious to see Sense and Sensibility as well. I too loved the Emma Thompson film, so did my 8 yo daughter. She's a fan of Emma from the Nanny McPhee film and loves Hugh too.
3Mansfield Park. This was the book of I read, and I too felt there was something missing in this movie. I enjoyed it, but I am looking forward to seeing what they did with this new version.
4I don't if they could do anything better with Sense and Sensibility. This is one of my favorite movies of all time!
Northanger. The other stories have been done, but this one is a sleeper, and it would be a challenge. I would like to see this done well.
5So far, I've enjoyed all these remakes. Although, I prefer the Mansfield Park 1999) directed by Patricia Rozema and staring Frances O'Connor as the clever and insightful Fanny Price.
